My career so far
PMI
In 2022, I was invited by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to speak at its annual African Conference for project economy. The theme for the 2022 edition was ‘Sustainable Growth for Social Good: Connecting ideas, people and projects’. As a member of PMI’s African working group and certified project manager, my focal point was the roundtable discussion titled “How Seven Living Generations On Earth Can Navigate The Post-Covid Digital Boom In Unity”. I discussed the transformative impact of the post-Covid digital boom and its significance for all seven living generations while emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration to effectively navigate this new era.
I also explored the opportunities and challenges presented by the digital transformation from leveraging digital literacy and collaborative innovation to addressing ethical concerns and adapting leadership styles. The importance of fostering digital literacy across generations was stressed, along with the potential of cross-generational mentorship and learning. For two days at the conference, I had the privilege of engaging in conversations with various participants, each bringing their own perspectives and experiences to the table. Together, we explored the transformative implications of the post-Covid digital landscape, discussing the opportunities it presents and the challenges it entails. The conference was attended by over 300 changemakers, project managers, lawmakers, and businesses from around Sub-Saharan Africa.
